About Event

TASTE OF HARLINGEN is the museum’s primary fundraiser. This annual event allows patrons to taste our local restaurants’ cuisine while enjoying live music. Our Silent Auction gives our patrons the opportunity to bid on items donated by local businesses and individuals. The decorated courtyard forms a charming backdrop for the evening. Patrons can stroll around the grounds listening to a live band and visiting the restaurant tents. Seating at decorated tables is available under the trees. This special evening guarantees great conversation, delicious food and enticing aromas. Themed Costumes are welcome.

2020 Event: Cancelled

Due to the Covid-19 Virusthe Taste of Harlingen will not be held this year.  Our theme was going to be Roaring 2020’s.  We will hopefully “Roar” in 2021. If you want to support the museum, sponsorships in any denomination will be gladly accepted. The funds will go toward revitalization for the 116-year-old Lon C. Hill Home. Everyone stay safe and healthy!
